The information technology-business process outsourcing (IT-BPO) industry of the Philippines aims to fill approximately 120,000 jobs for 2012 in a variety of highly specialized sectors such as healthcare, engineering, animation, and accounting.

“Our goal is for the non-voice to grow faster. As such, we are in need of nurses, animators, game developers, accountants and engineers to fill in the non-voice segment of the industry,” Benedict Hernandez, president and CEO of Business Processing Association of the Philippines (BPAP) said in a recent BPAP CEO briefing.

As a global market leader in voice-based Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) services, outsourcingcompanies all over the Philippines are experiencing significant demand for professionals.

BPAP has recently launched a career portal called “Work Abroad. Live Here” as part of a larger campaign to further increase awareness among graduates and professionals of numerous career opportunities in the Philippines’ vibrant IT-BPO/KPO industry.

The career portal, which is managed by the marketing communications firm TeamAsia and developed by Cloud Sherpas, functions to connect Filipino professionals and clients looking for specific talents and specializations. It will also be supported by a Facebook page which is also called “Work Abroad. Live Here” and other social media tools to increase the campaign’s scope and reach.
